Paula LeCompte Speed, Community
Superintendent Community School Board 18 Hon. Julia L. James, President Barbara Berg, Principal Investigator Carolyn Parker, Co-Principal Investigator Ruth Broughton, Program Facilitator It is the policy of Community School
District 18 to make available to all its students, including
those with disabilities, access to all activities, programs
and services. Students with limited mobility, hearing or
visual impairment should, therefore, apply to programs of
their choice whether or not such programs are currently
located in an accessible building. Should a student with
limited mobility, hearing or visual impairment seek
admission to a program which is not currently in an
accessible facility, the District will take all possible
steps to relocate or replicate the program or will otherwise
provide a set of alternative services during a transition
planning period. Parents have the right to appeal any final
placement decision.
